Stop WhatsApp-ing or emailing yourself just to move a link or a note. Open sharebywifi.com on both devices, paste on one, and it appears on the other. No app, no account.
Start sharing free →ShareByWiFi works like an online clipboard between your own devices. Paste a link, a note or a whole paragraph on your phone, and copy it on your laptop a second later — or the other way round. It works on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux, right in the browser.
This is for copying text, links and notes between your devices — it doesn't send SMS or text messages to a phone number.
The other device doesn't need to be open at the same time. Text stays in the room for 24 hours after the room was last opened, so you can paste it on your phone now and copy it on your PC when you sit down.
If your devices aren't on the same network, create a Private Room. It gives you a link and a QR code; scan the code with your phone or open the link on your PC, and both devices are in the same room, whatever network each one is on.
How do I copy text from my phone to my PC?
Open sharebywifi.com on your phone and on your PC. Paste the text into the Share Text box on your phone and tap Share. It appears on your PC straight away; tap Copy there and paste it wherever you need it. It works the same way from PC to phone.
Do I need to install an app?
No. ShareByWiFi runs in the browser on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux — just open sharebywifi.com on each device. You don't need an account either.
Does it work between iPhone and Windows?
Yes. Open sharebywifi.com in Safari (or any browser) on your iPhone and in any browser on your Windows PC. Text you share on one shows up on the other, with no Apple account or Microsoft app needed.
How long is the text kept?
Shared text stays in the room for 24 hours after anyone last opened it, then it's deleted automatically. You can also delete it yourself at any time.
Is it safe for passwords?
We recommend not sharing passwords or other sensitive information. Network sessions are visible to everyone on the same network; use a Private Room for anything personal.
