Send files and text between any two devices on the same WiFi network — instantly, with no app, no signup, and no cables.
Start Sharing →Drop it now, pick it up later. The other device doesn't need to be online when you share — files and text stay in the room after you close the page, for 24 hours after anyone last opened it.
Sharing text is actually our most-used feature — it's often faster than sending a file. Type or paste a link, a note, a password, or a snippet of code into the text box and hit Share; it appears immediately on every other device in the room, ready to copy.
This is the fastest way to move something like a WiFi password, a one-time code, or a paragraph of text between your phone and laptop without emailing it to yourself or using a messaging app.
If your devices aren't on the same network — say, sharing with someone in another building, city, or country — switch to a Private Room. It gives you a link and a QR code that only the people you share it with can join, so you can send files and text across networks just as instantly, without ever being on the same WiFi.
Do I need to install an app?
No. ShareByWiFi runs entirely in your browser — just open sharebywifi.com on each device.
Is it secure?
Files and text are only visible to people on the same WiFi network, or to whoever you share your Private Room link/QR code with. There are no accounts, so nothing is stored against your identity.
Is there a file size limit?
You can share up to 1GB per room, with no limit on the number of files.
